Benjamin Rush Pearson
Today, January 12th, would be Madison Pearson’s birthday. While researching the family tree a couple of nights ago, I was taken to the Virginia Military Institutes website. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a photo of the VMI graduating class of 1871 . I had known that our great grandfather Benjamin Rush Pearson had attended VMI along with his Brother William. In this photo I found William Fletcher Pearson who was readily identifiable and Benjamin R Pearson who was listed as being in the grouping but I could not be certain of which of the many photos was him. I e-mailedthe VMI archives department and they readily identified him.
